I don't look good in hats or anything squashed down over my head, so prefer earmuffs in the winter. I used to have a pair of small fleece ear muffs that I could wear around the back of my head when we went for our morning dog park walks, but misplaced them. I've ordered some new ones that were fur varieties, one with fur inside and one with fur outside, but they both had such a tight headband on me that they were uncomfortable so I gave those away.I saw this option for men and thought it might have a more flexible headband. It also looked like it had a lower profile off the ears, so thought I should try them.Because they are made for men, the headband is for larger heads and so has more of an available adjustment across the head size wise and even thought I have to tighten the headband to the tightest it will go, the fit is perfect, no squeezing, just a snug fit against my ears.They have similar features I loved about my old pair, a velvety soft fleece covering over the band as well as the muff itself. They have larger muffs, twice the size of my old ones, so go over the entire ear with a border. AND, the interior lining is faux fur, so very soft and silky, I love it! I didn't know the lining was fur, so this was a pleasant surprise.Even though I ordered them for my use, as they are unisex, I asked my husband to try them on. He said they fit comfortably, there was no squeezing of the headband and they were very cozy. I asked if he would wear them (he doesn't like anything new, he's an old slippers type of guy until the soles fall off.) He said, ummm...no honey, I like my little (ancient) knit hat. LOL! So there is a bit of feedback from the male peanut gallery in our house.If you or someone you'd like to gift these to don't care for hats in the winter, and you are open to trying a pair of well made, adjustable, soft and comfortable ear muffs, these are well-priced and a great option.

These ear muffs are very light weight, soft, extra large and could be quite comfortable for most people. Unfortunately for me, they do not fit me well when the band is over the top of my head or behind my neck. The ear coverings do not cover my ears completely when the band is over my head. The bottom of them rests on my ear lobes, which prevents me from wearing them like this. I tried the behind-the-neck style. I tried several things to get it to fit right, but they felt too loose to stay in place while moving around. So, these ear muffs did not work out very well for me and I will not keep them. But they are very nice and I am sure that these would work out great for many people. The price is very reasonable.

I have a pair of 180s from a long time ago which is more compact and keep my ears warm. These are just as good and keep my ears warmer. The soft inner furry lining is nice and the bigger cups block the wind. I feel if you have a bigger head this will fit better because I feel it might slide off if your running. My old 180s were very snug and you can feel the inner metal hold better but not necessarily feel better with long use. These aren't as snug because it wider and it's more plush so you don't feel that inner metal piece that covers your ear which is probably better for longer use. I wish the band that connects both sides was more stiff but it does shorten and extend.

These are a must have for winter! I love these earmuffs and have owned a version of these for like 20 years ever since I first moved to NYC. They're a staple for my winter wardrobe as they are perfect to layer underneath other hats or scarves. The earpiece is large and round enough to protect the ears without crushing them. So you can wear earrings without discomfort. The connecting strap is adjustable and can be expanded or collapsed to be worn either on the back of the neck or over the head. I prefer to wear them along the back of my neck as it doesn't mess up my hairstyle. Also the fact that they fold up is great because when I'm done wearing them, they just pop right into my pocket for easy access.

I like the fact that these ear muffs have faux fur on the interior portion that touches my ears. It is very soft, warm, and keeps my ears very warm. The outer portion is a fabric (polar fleece), which seems to be of a decent quality.These ear muffs fold pretty compactly, which is a plus. They're still not small enough to fit in my coat pocket, which makes me sad. I'm lazy and don't want to have to keep up with them - I want them stowed in the pocket...with my gloves in the opposite pocket, so that when I put on my coat I'm all set. A heifer can wish. (Maybe I need a coat with bigger pockets)I am a relative newb to ear muffs, and at my age I know that's a little nuts; but I live in the deep South, and until the past few years never felt that I needed them. I have grown to H A T E cold wind in and around my ears though, even if it doesn't happen that often. These are my 2nd pair, which are somewhat of an improvement over the first. The muff part of these turn, and the headband part curls, and then end up being a nice compact bundle barely the size of the muff parts stacked together.These do keep the wind out of my ears. I have tried them with the band part over the top of my head, and behind the bottom back of my head. Either way they end up pressing against the legs of my glasses and skewing them on my face and nose. I'm pretty convinced it's me and not the ear muffs, though. There are too many people who happily wear ear muffs for me to come along and think something is wrong with them.These do a the job well and are a good value.PS. Switched to another coat with bigger pockets and they fit! Yay!
