I've tried a couple of these and this is the best one yet for actually keeping the beds pushed together. Other ones I have used just slowly loose the tension but this one manages to last at least two weeks before I need to tighten it up a bit again

I wish I would've gotten pictures, but words will have to do because I don't want to take my sheets off. First, I bought a split king so my wife could sit herself up if we decide to have another kid. Pregnancy was hard on her last time and she had to sleep with a stack of pillows behind her. It was a good thought. Got the adjustable base installed, mattresses put on, twin XL sheets so they're separate. First night it was terrible. I didn't feel like I was sleeping on a king, I felt like I was on a twin, because I was. We couldn't cuddle at all because one of us was falling in the crack. Came to Amazon for the solution. Found a big band that went around the mattresses sideways so you can still operate the beds independently and I'll probably buy that one for later use. For now, I wanted it to feel like one bed without the crack. Bought this and it's pretty great. The foam middle piece is a part of a whole sheet. Covers both mattresses and squeezes them together. Then after they're squeezing, you wrap the buckle around them too and squeeze even tighter. After it was done, I put a regular king size fitted sheet over it and it's like they've never been separated. They hold together, the middle is easily crossed, you can't accidentally split them through the night, it's great. Obviously we can't use the adjustable bases independently, so I synced them together with one remote. If we want to have them independent later, I'll deal with that then. Highly recommend.

Would not suggest to use with certain types of mattresses. Since this product straps to the middle of the mattresses it creates pressure on the mattress that it's not designed to hold. Then over a short amount of time the mattress starts to break down along the edges. I ended up having to replace my mattress after only owning it for 4 years.On a positive note, I replaced my split king with just a regular king. Eliminating the need for this type of product. Unfortunately it cost me much more than I was anticipating spending so soon.The product itself is relatively easy to use. The strap was a little difficult to get to stay tight at first. It did not cause any discomfort to me as I was sleeping. Since the strap is along the side of the bed, it did not create any bumps on the top, leaving a nice flat surface. I do need to say that unless you pull the strap extremely tight, it will not keep the mattresses close together.

I have 2 x twin XL beds that form a large King sized single bed.Now, normally I have 2 x sets of twin XL sheets on the bed (with a large single duvet cover).I bought the "premium" version and the straps on this run across the top and bottom of the mattresses and go under the mattresses and then tighten like a belt on the sides,The only problem with this method is there is NO WAY to install the single sets of sheets with this method.I would either have to return the pad and get a different closing/tightening method (the other products have a strap to hold the mattresses together by wrapping around the outside of both mattresses), or just buy a single set of King sheets (because THEN I can install the straps, then put the3 fitted sheet over the straps).I mean the purpose of doing this was so I could have a large single king bed when I wanted it, so the buying of the single king set of sheets seemed to be the best solution here.That all said, there is about a 1" difference in height of the 2 x mattresses, which I was concerned about, but this thing seems to somehow even them out too, so the transition is all but transparent.Solid product though. Especially when I didn't know something like this even existed.All in all, well worth the money,
