Update:Dropping to 3 star. Technically the Bluetooth streaming does not have a way to inform the headset that the streaming does is still ongoing. So the headset goes to sleep mode after a while. This was painful to figure out+Several connectivity options+Good signal-connection to Bluetooth headset a bit tricky. Had to play with it a bit to make it work-remote control not great. Have to be close and point right to it to work

The media could not be loaded. I originally just got this as a Bluetooth receiver for our outdoor speakers, but then I realized it has a mic input, which can be layered on top of any audio source. This is super cool because it's basically a karaoke adaptor that turns any sound system into a karaoke machine! The mic has independent volume control and reverb control.A cool use I figured out for it is that you can take a battery-powered radio, you can connect this device via the aux jack, and then connect to this instead of the radio itself. Then you can have a battery-powered karaoke rig even if you're, say, out camping or at the beach!I also appreciate that it has hardware bass and treble control on the device itself. You really don't see that much these days.

Versatility was engineered into this gadget being able to transmit or receive audio signals to/from a variety of devices. This is powered by internal rechargeable batteries, recharged via a standard usb-c port. This means you are not tethered to an outlet or limited by the length of an extension cord. The full function remote makes configuration and setting tasks push-button easy. The device’s case, face, and rear are robustly constructed from metal. Steel I think as I was not able to flex the case by squeezing it hard; tough stuff! The controls are well connected and precise. I appreciate the bass and treble controls in addition to the expected volume control. For my primary use case, I needed to transmit audio from one of our TVs to my bluetooth headset. Following the clear, concise instructions my headset paired and held a stable signal. The sound quality was excellent and there was no perceivable latency. The best sound quality was with an RCA to RCA cable as opposed to RCA out / AUX in. I didn't try an optical cable. As another use case, I used my Android phone to transmit audio to our stereo, again seamlessly. These are my two most likely uses, many more are possible depending on your needs. A self-inflicted wound occurred during initial testing. I inadvertently paired this device to one of our smart TVs that has built-in bluetooth and I, of course, wasn’t able to pair it with headsets or earbuds. I have only myself to blame, not the product. I discovered my error after moving to a TV without built-in bluetooth and unpairing the TV with Bluetooth. Given its ease of use, flexibility, versatility, solid construction, features, and compact size, it is a great value.
