Good build quality, can stand up on its own and fit under seat in an airplane just fine. Large cargo compartment is great for a pair of packing cubes, and dedicated laptop sleeve and other pockets cover the rest. Perfect for 1-2 day business trips or to bring with a carry-on for 3-4 days

This was a really excellent choice for my needs. I have been a long-time Travel Pro customer and fan and have always appreciated their quality at a reasonable price point. I was really looking for something more "elegant" than the usual backpack and after a lot of research decided on this one. It really works well for all kinds of travel and has a lot of functionality, as well as being good-looking and meeting my expectations of Travel Pro quality standards. I would definitely recommend it for general travel (particulary as your "personal item" for air travel. I also used it in Europe last year on a 2 plus week trip to carry my camera gear and and rainwear and other "sundries" while out on the streets. It worked great.

all of the zippers keep splitting, very disappointing considering the cost. the bag is nice otherwise, but always worried things are going to fall out while traveling..

Very solid construction and durable traveling companion. I like that it is streamline, and the right balance of secure zipper compartments while still easy to access. Just wish it was a little bigger, or that the materials were able to "expand" more when stuffing it full. That said, it does easily stow under the seat in front of you in plane flights.

UPDATE (10/8/25): Changing my review from 5-stars to 3-stars. After 1.5 years of use, the zippers have failed. At full retail price, it's too expensive to last for such a short period of time. I still think the DESIGN is perfect but it simply doesn't last long enough. Look for it under $100. Then it would represent a good value.Pros:- It stands up on its own- Opens wide for easy access- has a back strap for attaching to rolling bag handle (why is this not universal?)- laptop sleeve accommodates 15" laptop- not overly divided - has a laptop sleeve and other than that, mostly wide open- size is perfect for me. No bigger than necessary. Will fit under the seat of almost any jet (inc. regionals).Cons:- Perhaps priceI ordered this backpack thinking it looked perfect but perhaps a little expensive. I reasoned that if it's not perfect, I'll return it. I'm happy to say that it 100% fit my needs and I'm going to order another one for my wife. The perfect bag is subjective but if you're looking for the features I listed, give this one a try.

This is a very good backpack to use as a personal item. I purchased their large backpack, prior to this one, but the padding was too bulky on that one, so I do not think it would really pack that much more than the small slim backpack. I wanted to contact TravelPro online to see if I received a defective item, but they don’t really have an online “general question” section. I like the structure on the slim backpack, so it’s not flimsy; this may be considered a con for some. It fits nicely under a seat and still allows for some foot room. I would not hesitate to purchase this item again.

This is a great backpack. It fits very well under the seat in front of you on a large aircraft or even on a small regional aircraft. I can easily get my 14” Mac Book Pro and my 12” iPad Pro with outer case in 2 out of the 3 slots for tablets and laptops. Although this is the slim or small version it has enough space after my laptop, tablet, full size mouse, cord bag, and liquid bag, a pair of shoes and 1-2 days worth of clothes (rolled up) for work trips. The RFID pouch for passport/wallets is a great security touch for a bit of piece of mind. The best part is the warranty. It looks very nice and can hold more than you would think.
