Great lens and very sharp. 50mm is probably my favorite focal length and this lens lives on my R5 90% of the time. Definitely not cheap but totally worth it.

I got this product earlier than expected! I got it for a great price. When I opened the package everything was exactly what I order. Brand new with all documentation.I will definitely look for more products sold my this seller. This lens takes amazing photos with soft background blur. I mainly use it for family pictures and portraits, and the results always look professional. It works great even in low light, and I love how fast it focuses. It’s expensive, but totally worth it if you love taking photos.

I love this lens... my favorite 50 from Canon... but the materials hthey use are very flmisy for a 2 grand lens... I have seen a cracked one (when I worked at bh photo) and this as well as the 85 are shockinglike flimsy feeling compared to tank quality of the EF era... Optically it CRUSHES it... buut be aware... STOP til 2.8 if you want even corner brightness... Tack sharp happens at 2.8 in the middle at f4 at the edges. If shooting into the sun use the hood... the Flaring is strong, its sexy but you may not want the contrast loss. Best 50 ever from Canon but it would have been better if the materials were more rugged and it I THINK this lens would benefit from IS - My r5 has in body but honestly that would made it just perfect. Still it’s the best lens to buy if you can only get 1 L prime... the 85 is too tight to use as universally.
