Like many users, when I updated my GPU, it came with three Display Ports and only one HDMI, so I have a few monitors and got this cord to manage the two monitors (and they work fine with the high-speed speed high-enf GPUs. The end gets a bit warm, but it is in open air circulation and so far seems to work fine.

Working perfectly so far. Good assembly quality. The real question will be - how long will it continue to work flawlessly. I expect more than 5 years out of cables, but lately it's been quite random. Check with me in 5 years, Amazon.

The Warrky DisplayPort to HDMI cable can transmit a signal from a DisplayPort on a computer to an HDMI Port in an HDMI display. It can only do this is in one direction, so it is not possible to transmit an HDMI signal to a DisplayPort. This is also a passive adapter and it is best to connect it directly to the display that you want to use. It is a braided cable and it feels like it's well made.I used this cable on a computer running the windows 10 operating system and a television with HDMI ports. The picture was nice and clear, but there was no sound. The manual for the cables states that you should go into the sound settings to fix this. I had issues with this at first because I was missing the video driver for my computer that was necessary to do this. After downloading the correct driver for my computer, I was able to go into the windows sound settings and set my TV as the default sound device. The sound quality was excellent.I am very happy with the picture and sound quality from this cable, but I had one concern while using it. I noticed that the HDMI portion of the cable would get hot when it was plugged into my television, but the DisplayPort portion of the cable that was plugged into my computer did not. I also took the cable out to see if the metal connector on the HDMI portion of the cable was hot and it was.Overall I am happy with this cable, but I am concerned about the cable getting hot where the HDMI portion plugs into devices.* I have updated this review because I was informed by the manufacturer that the HDMI portion of the cable getting hot was normal and not a reason to be concerned. This was the only concern that I had while using the cable, so I updated the review to 5 stars because I am happy with the cable.The explanation from the manufacturer was: "Regarding your concern about the HDMI connector getting warm, I'd like to share a bit of technical background. During operation, the internal chip needs to handle a large amount of video signal conversion, which naturally generates heat. To ensure long-term stability and reliability, we use a high-performance metal housing to efficiently conduct and dissipate this heat.""Metal conducts heat more effectively, which means it may feel warmer to the touch, but this approach actually helps prevent heat from being trapped inside the cable or chip, ultimately improving durability and extending product lifespan. What you experienced is expected behavior and not a safety issue."

Essential Accessory for the right connections

Modern households are packed with gadgets and electronics that are constantly evolving with new standards and technological advances. However, devices like computers, gaming monitors, and graphics cards often use DisplayPort (DP), which offers better performance than HDMI.The HDMI cable interface is not the same as that of a DP cable. This cable is designed to connect source devices with DisplayPort outputs to HDMI-only displays. An important note: it can only transmit in one direction, from DP to HDMI, so it won’t work the other way around.I used the cable to connect my laptop to my TV. The resulting audio and video were sharp, detailed, and clear, without noticeable interference, unlike with a Bluetooth or Wi-Fi connection, which can easily become unresponsive. A little bit short, but does exactly what it says it does.

This cable works fine. It does exactly as described, converting a DisplayPort output to HDMI unidirectionally. It does what is advertised and little more, so do consider its stated resolution and refresh rate limitations. It does seem to support VRR, which is good.It's a bit short, so measure your use case! It'll be perfect for tight setups but even going diagonally from my PC on the floor to the right to my second monitor to the left was a bit too far. Also, both ends seem to get a bit warm, but I can't imagine it getting warm enough to affect longevity unless you do something very odd like wrapping the cable in a warm blanket.

Great cable that reliably transmits 4k video and HD audio signal from my Nvidia 4070 DP port to my 4k120 monitor HDMI port. I have not experienced the cable getting too hot even after several hours of heavy video editing. I have not been able to test at 8k. Peace of mind that this is a 19 pin passive cable with no 20th power pin. Remember, only works from DP to HDMI!

When my desktop boots up, the post image is shown okay on my 5K2K LG monitor. As soon as the graphics card, however, switches to a higher resolution the monitor turn black and unresponsive. (Doesn’t even show the menu.)Whether that’s a bug in the monitor or the cable is unclear to me, but another 4K cable doesn’t have this problem. (I got an 8K cable as the 4K cable doesn’t support the 5K2K mode and reports only 4K resolutions to the graphics card as native).Anyway, low price seemed good, but it’s absolutely unworkable in my setup (NVIDIA RTX A6000 & LG 5K2K 45“ OLED).
