Decent cable, good for future-proofing HDMI connectivity

This MOPOCHG 1m 16k HDMI cable appears to be well made, with solid performance as far as I am able to test.Each end of the cable are encased in metal, great for any heat dissipation. Each end also has a stiff plastic neck to help prevent the cable fraying due to excessive bending.Measuring the cable showed it to be as expected, a little over 1 metre in length from end to end. The cable body has a rugged feel due to the woven cotton outer layer, though doesn't offer a great deal of flexibility due to its thickness. The HDMI plugs fit solidly into every HDMI socket I have tried them with.Testing this on two monitors, I was able to achieve 3440x1440 at 100 Hz on an ultra-wide monitor, and 3840x2160 at 60 Hz on an OLED TV. Both worked well with no flickering or other potential cable issues.Currently, I have no monitors with higher resolutions, so was unable to test up to the full 16k claims, however this cable helps to future-proof my set up when I eventually upgrade to a high resolution monitor or TV. I would like to think that this cable is perfectly capable of both 8k and 16k, but without testing in person, I cannot confirm this, but I have no reason to believe it would not.The price seems about right for the capabilities and quality of this cable, so overall, I feel like this is good value for money and lives up to my expectations.

A quality cable for the future, as well as now, but a bit expensive.

Recently I have been upgrading my home cinema room. That has entailed buying new equipment and moving others and I have found myself in need of some new cables. This 1m cable, rated at 16K @60Hz, is way above the spec that I presently need but tech is advancing at a very rapid rate at the moment and so some future proofing was a good idea.I like the construction of this cable with its braided skin and aluminium heads and its good length flexible collars to help absorb the stress when being bent. I always try to shy away from bog standard PVC cables as I have seen them crack and fail, something I have never witnessed with braid. The connectors are gold plated which will resist any possibility of corrosion when inserted into what may be a dissimilar metal of the appliances the cable will connect.Presently I have no 8K material, let alone 16K, but the worst that can happen when you over engineer in terms of your cables is that it may cost a bit more. However, if you under engineer then you invite future failure and maybe a difficult job in rerunning cables when they have to be replaced..I used the cable to run between my 8K capable media player and my 8K capable AVR but my most demanding material is 4K with Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos. It played that material perfectly without missing a beat. I am due to upgrade my TV in the summer and although TV manufacturers took a step back from 8K I feel that it may have a resurgence and if it does then possibly, just possibly, some 8K content may become available. As TVs seem to be getting bigger and bigger them that seems more likely.The elephant in the room for this cable is the rather premium price of £16.99. It is a quality cable though and does come with a good deal of future proofing built in and I am confident that it will serve for a very long time in any domestic set up. When I factor in the difficulty I faced getting the cable from A to B in a discrete manner then I am starting to think that it could well be worth the cost.

This cable does exactly what I needed it to. I cannot comment on any claims about 16k resolution capability, but it handles 4K content at 120hz and 2k at 240hz fine, signal is clean and no issues so far. The build quality feels very good and the connectors fit securely.The footprint of the connector is reasonable, and the braided section feels strong and well made. One thing to keep in mind is that if you are using a monitor on a concertina‑style wall bracket with ports that point straight out of the back, the stiffness of the cable can push the monitor out slightly more than expected. In my case it adds roughly 1.5inch compared with what I am used to, though it is not a deal breaker.Monitors with vertically positioned ports should not have any issues, but side‑facing ports may make the cable stick out more than you might anticipate. This is not a criticism of this particular cable. I have found that most braided cables with a premium feel tend to be less flexible, so it is simply something worth bearing in mind depending on your setup.The price is reasonable, although there are alternatives at the same price or cheaper that come in lengths around 1.5m to 2m. If you specifically need this length, it is a solid choice. If not, you may find other options that give you a bit more cable for your money.

This HDMI 2.2 cable is the latest iteration of the the standard. 2.2 was first introduced in January of 2025, and finalized in June 2025. This version essentially doubles the transmission rate from the previous version (2.1) from 48Gbps to 96 Gbps with 16K capable television image rate which is probably more aspirational than practical in the near term. In these very early stages of the HDMI 2.2 standard, 16K televisions have not begun to ramp up production, and the few that is currently available are prohibitively expensive. To really test these cables, one would need to have a fast 16K television, with an ultrafast 16K signal to match, which sadly, I do not have. That level of stress test will have to wait for another day.

This cable does exactly what I needed it to. I cannot comment on any claims about 16k resolution capability, but it handles 4K content at 120hz and 2k at 240hz fine, signal is clean and no issues so far. The build quality feels very good and the connectors fit securely.The footprint of the connector is reasonable, and the braided section feels strong and well made. One thing to keep in mind is that if you are using a monitor on a concertina‑style wall bracket with ports that point straight out of the back, the stiffness of the cable can push the monitor out slightly more than expected. In my case it adds roughly 1.5inch compared with what I am used to, though it is not a deal breaker.Monitors with vertically positioned ports should not have any issues, but side‑facing ports may make the cable stick out more than you might anticipate. This is not a criticism of this particular cable. I have found that most braided cables with a premium feel tend to be less flexible, so it is simply something worth bearing in mind depending on your setup.The price is reasonable, although there are alternatives at the same price or cheaper that come in lengths around 1.5m to 2m. If you specifically need this length, it is a solid choice. If not, you may find other options that give you a bit more cable for your money.

Recently I have been upgrading my home cinema room. That has entailed buying new equipment and moving others and I have found myself in need of some new cables. This 1m cable, rated at 16K @60Hz, is way above the spec that I presently need but tech is advancing at a very rapid rate at the moment and so some future proofing was a good idea.I like the construction of this cable with its braided skin and aluminium heads and its good length flexible collars to help absorb the stress when being bent. I always try to shy away from bog standard PVC cables as I have seen them crack and fail, something I have never witnessed with braid. The connectors are gold plated which will resist any possibility of corrosion when inserted into what may be a dissimilar metal of the appliances the cable will connect.Presently I have no 8K material, let alone 16K, but the worst that can happen when you over engineer in terms of your cables is that it may cost a bit more. However, if you under engineer then you invite future failure and maybe a difficult job in rerunning cables when they have to be replaced..I used the cable to run between my 8K capable media player and my 8K capable AVR but my most demanding material is 4K with Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos. It played that material perfectly without missing a beat. I am due to upgrade my TV in the summer and although TV manufacturers took a step back from 8K I feel that it may have a resurgence and if it does then possibly, just possibly, some 8K content may become available. As TVs seem to be getting bigger and bigger them that seems more likely.The elephant in the room for this cable is the rather premium price of £16.99. It is a quality cable though and does come with a good deal of future proofing built in and I am confident that it will serve for a very long time in any domestic set up. When I factor in the difficulty I faced getting the cable from A to B in a discrete manner then I am starting to think that it could well be worth the cost.

This MOPOCHG 1m 16k HDMI cable appears to be well made, with solid performance as far as I am able to test.Each end of the cable are encased in metal, great for any heat dissipation. Each end also has a stiff plastic neck to help prevent the cable fraying due to excessive bending.Measuring the cable showed it to be as expected, a little over 1 metre in length from end to end. The cable body has a rugged feel due to the woven cotton outer layer, though doesn't offer a great deal of flexibility due to its thickness. The HDMI plugs fit solidly into every HDMI socket I have tried them with.Testing this on two monitors, I was able to achieve 3440x1440 at 100 Hz on an ultra-wide monitor, and 3840x2160 at 60 Hz on an OLED TV. Both worked well with no flickering or other potential cable issues.Currently, I have no monitors with higher resolutions, so was unable to test up to the full 16k claims, however this cable helps to future-proof my set up when I eventually upgrade to a high resolution monitor or TV. I would like to think that this cable is perfectly capable of both 8k and 16k, but without testing in person, I cannot confirm this, but I have no reason to believe it would not.The price seems about right for the capabilities and quality of this cable, so overall, I feel like this is good value for money and lives up to my expectations.

This HDMI 2.2 cable is the latest iteration of the the standard. 2.2 was first introduced in January of 2025, and finalized in June 2025. This version essentially doubles the transmission rate from the previous version (2.1) from 48Gbps to 96 Gbps with 16K capable television image rate which is probably more aspirational than practical in the near term. In these very early stages of the HDMI 2.2 standard, 16K televisions have not begun to ramp up production, and the few that is currently available are prohibitively expensive.
