Simple Installation is a Good ThingI installed the unit on the top of the front grill of my 2026 Grand Highlander.I live in an area of heavy winter snow, which requires sand and salt on the roads for safe travel.On bad weather days, I slide a cover over this camera to protect it from the sand and salt.This cover was 3D printed and has a slotted center section and 2 end caps and has drain holes in the bottom.To install the cover, I slide on the center section and push on the 2 end caps.I did have this camera covered for 2 weeks due to bad weather.Because there was no solar charging during this time, and starting the car many times during this time, the camera battery displayed low on the monitor.I removed the cover and charged the camera with a 10000 mha battery pack.The monitor wakes up as soon as I start my car and displays the camera and guide line a second or two later.The system shuts off after 120 seconds.I have not turned off the camera or the monitor using the power switches on the camera or lighter plug.I do press the center monitor button to wake up the monitor and camera if I need to use them.So far, I am very satisfied with this system.

Easy to install backup camera!

This is a great backup camera. The screen is a good size and the picture is super clear, even at night. The signal is consistent and has not dropped in the time that Ive been using it.Installation was very easy and quick. The camera comes pre-paired with the screen so no need to pair them before use.Overall, I’m quite happy with this product.

Excellent produit, parfaitement adapté aux camping-cars, camions ou remorques. Les deux caméras offrent une large couverture et le mode écran partagé est très pratique pour surveiller plusieurs angles en même temps. L’écran HD 7,2" est clair et lisible, même en plein jour. La connexion sans fil est stable grâce à la double antenne, et l’alimentation solaire est un vrai plus. La fonction DVR est appréciable pour enregistrer les trajets. Matériel robuste (IP69K) et installation relativement simple. Très satisfait, je recommande sans hésitation !

PROS: 1) Very functional, gives a much wider angle view (compared to 5 inch screens) to even see the oncoming cars while reversing in a parking lot. Bought this for exactly this reason 2) I think it has solar cells (regarding comments questioning if it has), although, barely visible through the plastic casing 3) Fully wireless camera, easy install, well thought out design, and does the job well. 4) Good battery life and seemingly waterproof 5) Charging port is USB-C 6) Loop recording CONS: 1) Tiny screen, shorter than even the 5 inch screen, so, don't expect the 'wide screen' to be a bigger screen 2) I got it for $139 after discount -- OK price, but anything more would be pricey, especially for the small screen. Lower resolution, and doesn't look any premium like an ipad or phone screen, and also, smaller image than in 5 inch screens. 3) Likely, heavy drain on car battery (so, car had starting troubles after a long time of using the screen), so, need to set at low brightness and quick timeout. 4) Some lag for the screen to turn on initially. 5) At this point, I can't comment about the longevity since it's been only a few days. I got enough longevity from a previous 5 inch model (lasted 2-3 years), which eventually got weak signal due to age, so, now it's time to replace

I fitted the Auto-Vox solar rear camera on my wife's car and genuinely wish I’d done it sooner. The setup was straightforward, no fiddling with wires, just a couple of minutes using the included 3M adhesive. The large 7-inch screen looks bright and crisp, with good resolution in both daylight and after dark. It’s great as I don’t have to stress about charging, since the solar-powered battery keeps it topped up automatically.What really sold me is how easy it was to get everything working right away, and the clean, wire-free look. I’m planning to add a second camera for a front view next, which should work onto the same display and allow dual views. As an extra bonus, it can record looping footage onto an SD card, so I’ll have video evidence in case something happens. For anyone who wants a proper rear camera, without the hassle of wires, this one ticks all the boxes and best of all its good value for money.

I've waited a couple of months before writing this review so I could test the camera under different weather conditions. I am very impressed with the performance of the system, it was super easy to install (literally 5 minutes) and is super convenient. I drive a 2015 Durango which does not have a backup camera, this product works just fine. The solar charging is super convenient, the image quality is good and the size of the screen adequate, the connector to the car lighter has a USB splitter so you can still power other devices. I highly recommend it!
