I'm really impressed! They've quickly become a favorite for my off-road adventures, thanks to a fantastic combination of design, fit, and price. Right out of the box, the design caught my eye. New Balance really nailed the aesthetic on these—they look sleek and trail-ready without being overly bulky. It's a shoe that performs well and looks good doing it.When it comes to fitting, these shoes truly shine. They hug my feet comfortably, providing a secure and supportive feel that's crucial on uneven terrain. My feet feel locked in without being constricted, allowing for confident strides whether I'm climbing or descending. The cushioning feels just right, absorbing impact without sacrificing responsiveness.And the price? Absolutely spot on. I feel like I got a premium trail running shoe without breaking the bank, which is always a win. My only minor critique, and it's a small one, is that they're a little tight on the side of my feet. While the overall snugness is a positive, I do notice a slight pressure on the sides after longer runs. It's not a deal-breaker by any means, and I'm hoping they'll loosen up just a touch with more wear. Despite that minor quibble, I'm genuinely thrilled with my New Balance trail running shoes. They're a comfortable, stylish, and affordable option for anyone looking to hit the trails with confidence. I highly recommend them!

Love these shoes. I had switched from New Balance to HOKA for my trail shoes, but the HOKAs proved less durable than NB. So I went back to NB. Best cushioning ever, IMHO. Rugged, built well. I need wide fit and New Balance is only one of a handful of companies offering wide sizes. Fit is a bit small so I ordered ½ size bigger than with past New Balance shoes.

I have 10.5 EE feet with pretty narrow heels and the 10.5 W shoes fit me very well. They were comfortable and felt good while running. It was easy to maintain my neutral stride. The uppers provide a lot of support on the trail. Unfortunately, they don't have enough sole / insole padding for me - I don't have much flesh on the bottoms of my feet. My feet felt bruised the next day. In case it was a fluke, I tried three separate runs (waiting until the buising subsided) but I had to return them.

I'm not sure how I feel about these shoes, by all accounts they are better than the previous model but I can't say I like them as much as the v7. The fit is fine, decent lockdown, seem well made and the megagrip outsole is always a welcome addition. For me personally tho I just don't care for the big jump in stack height combined with extremely soft foam, they just feel too mushy and unsteady now, I did tons of hiking in the v7 and felt confident with every step, these new v9s tho feel like they could easily roll in uneven terrain with such a thick slab of marshmallow soft foam underfoot.
