This is one of those items that doesn't quite meet the highest and best use expectation. It has options for multiple uses, but doesn't do any of them to the fullest potential.The initial odor that lasts for hours, if not days, was overwhelming. I don't know if it was a coincidence, but I got a headache within a few hours of opening the shrink-wrapped pillow that lasted for 2 days. I've had the pillow for nearly 3 weeks, and the odor didn't go away until about a week ago. And I'm not even sure if it truly left, or if I became nose-blind.I've had a lot of memory foam pillows. At least 20 different ergonomic styles and/or brands. I'm a side sleeper with scoliosis in my lower, mid, and upper back, and bone spurs in my neck. And though it's not good for my back, I sit in bed to use my laptop, a LOT. I work from home in a busy, noisy household, and my bedroom is the only place I can get any uninterrupted time to work. I had a sitting bed pillow that worked ok for that, but I still needed to put a pillow in front of it for lumbar support. I also have a pillow that's been working well for sleeping. But my bed has a collection of too many pillows. Then I saw this YRuiSofut reading pillow for bed, and thought it would be awesome if I could find one pillow that would work for both sitting work and sleeping.The pillow is very well constructed with strong seams and fabric. No doubt that it's built to last. My issue is that to use it sitting up, the angle is really strange. The lower part gives some lumbar support but then as it goes up, it leans forward and pushes into the back shoulder blades, which forces you to scoot your bottom forward so the upper back part of the pillow will end up at the nape of your neck. Then THAT is comfortable for the middle back, shoulders, and neck, but leaves you with zero lumbar support, AND a really uncomfortable typing position. So, for sitting work, I still need to place a pillow in front of this one to balance out the deficits.For sleeping, the part that is made for your head doesn't have as much space as the typical sleeping pillow, so your head feels cramped, especially if you're a side sleeper who likes to really push that ledge in between your shoulder and neck. Plus, the seating use part of the pillow takes up a lot of room between the headboard and where your head goes, so you have to scoot down a bit toward the foot of the bed. When you get the position worked out, it's still not that comfortable. Even though it's a bit less firm around the edge, it's still firmer than I like.So, for me, this pillow didn't improve my comfort level for sitting up in bed or sleeping, but aside from the bad odor this one had, it's very well made, and might be more comfortable for people without back and/or neck issues, or people taller or shorter than me. I'm 5'5", small-framed.

I love the comfort of this pillow. It feels good on my neck and back. It’s great for reading but also laying down. It helps with pressure on my neck. The quality is great, soft and smooth. So glad I tried this. Loving it!

The pillow arrived in a zippered cloth bag and was vacuum sealed. After removing the pillow from the cloth bag and “carefully” cutting the vacuumed sealed plastic bag around the pillow. The instructions say to allow the pillow a few minutes for expansion. I gave the pillow a full hour to make sure that it had time to fully expand before testing. I did note a slight odor when the vacuum bag was opened. But the odor did not linger.Once the pillow had fully expanded it provided a good deal of back support. As is indicated the listing photos. The lower end of the pillow was softer than the upper end, which was fairly firm. Initially, I thought that the pillow might be too hard. But that wasn't the case by the time I finished testing. The outer edges are the thinnest area of the pillow and offer the least support. But the center is where the support is needed. The pillow does have a cool feel to it and recovers it shape fairly quickly after use. I’ve tried the pillow in a number of different positions sitting and laying down, and it does provide good support and is comfortable.I like the fact that the pillow has a zippered washable cover and the zipper worked smoothly and did not snag. The expanded pillow measures about 24”X20”. Though a little on the pricey side. I like the quality and feel of the pillow and did find that it supplied good back support.

I have only been using this YRuiSofut Reading Pillow for a couple of weeks. So far I like it. It is especially great for sitting up, as I like to sit up and read on my phone for about an hour before sleep every night, this is a lot more comfortable than my old pillow. It is also more comfortable on my neck, I decided to try this as my old pillow was giving me neck pain, so far this pillow hasn't caused any discomfort.The overall quality is good, though I hope the shape of the pillow will remain unchanged and it's softness stays supportive after months and months of use, but only time could tell! One thing annoying about this pillow is that no pillow cases would fit this awkwardly shape pillow!I wouldn't say this is a cheap pillow, but not expensive either.

I originally bought this ergonomic reading pillow specifically to support my back while breastfeeding. If you are looking for something more versatile than a standard bed wedge, this is it.The best part about this pillow is that it isn’t just for sitting up. I love that I can use it in multiple positions—whether I’m leaning back, lying down, or even using it for prone (stomach) support. It’s incredibly functional and adapts to however I need to get comfortable.The memory foam is high quality and provides firm yet comfortable support. It has significantly reduced the strain on my back and shoulders during long nursing sessions. You can tell it’s well-made. The blue fabric is soft but durable, and it feels like it will hold its shape for a long time.It is quite large and a bit awkward to move around because of its unique shape, but honestly, that’s exactly what makes it so supportive. It covers a lot of ground and stays put once you have it in place.I was impressed by the packaging! It comes compressed down into a surprisingly small, neat case, which makes it much easier to wrap or give as a gift than a giant, loose pillow.Whether you're a nursing mom, a book lover, or someone who just likes to work from bed, this pillow is worth every penny. Highly recommended for the quality and the multi-position design!

This pillow is great! Beats the heck out of the old timey corduroy pillow with the arms. It really offers a lot of support and you actually stay comfortably leaning/sitting up while using it. Very durable and I’m very happy with this purchase.
