The Leviton Decora Smart Zigbee 15A Receptacle lets you control lights and appliances from anywhere when paired with a compatible Z-Wave controller. Connect your plug-in lamps, holiday lighting, and small appliances to the top “Controlled” outlet, while the bottom “Powered” outlet remains always on. Uses 700-Series Chipset which offers S2 security and is enabled with SmartStart. The ZW15R features tamper resistant receptacles with built-in shutters to prevent the insertion of unintended foreign objects. As well, the integrated button with vanishing feedback LED provides manual push-button on/off control and clear indication at any time. Typical applications include switching of lamps, portable fans, kitchen appliances, indoor fountains, holiday lighting, and more. When paired with a required Z-Wave hub, use your voice to control via Amazon Alexa or Hey Google, sold separately. If you do not wish to use a hub but still desire voice controls and select third-party device integration, Leviton recommends the DW15R.

Swapped out a dumb receptacle with this and connected it to an aeotec SmartThings hub effortlessly. No issues powering my LED floor lamp and am looking forward to seeing how long it lasts.

Only one outlet turns on and off. Still has plenty uses but if the wrong one is used for by the wife for straightening hair then I can remotely shut it off or program is as a timer. I'm happy they make zwave but their products ares mediocre in choices, potential durability(according to other reviews), and are a giant crappy list of conflicting model numbers on the box, website, manual, device, etc... Support information isn't too great for companion switches. I have 3 switches that caused me to piss away money on them to realize they are the wrong model.

Generally I really like most Leviton products. I had purchased several of the previous generation of non-Z-Wave Plus receptacles and found them to be a big disappointment. I was reluctant to buy this product as a result. I am impressed that, unlike the previous receptacles, this joined my hub easily and has been a solid performer ever since. The only negative note I can make is how loud the click is when the relay engages. This is much more noticeable than other brands of receptacle I have in the home.
