Pros:Very well designed and has a sleek look to it. Metal built which gives it quality feel.Touchscreen is easy to wake up with a single touch.Works with bluetooth or through wifi if separately sold gateway is installed.Has adapters to install in small and big strike pin holes and can be used without the front plate which is what I needed for my door.Drilling a hole is not required.Cons:Does not take rechargeable batteries and only runs with regular ones. I hate having to use and throw away single use batteries as I think thats bad for environment.Took me a long while to get it programmed because you only get 5 mins to pair it with your phone after doing master reset (which is required in order to pair). After pairing with my phone it would not allow me to change master and user pin numbers from factory default ones. I tried resetting and changing the pin first but then it would no longer pair with my phone so it was one or another for me. I went with an option of not using my phone but use only pin for entry since it seemed like it could not do both allow me to pair and customize my pin number. Not sure if this was a defective lock or its poorly developed system but will use for a month and see if I want to keep it.Wifi gateway bridge is sold separately for this model for additional $40, although a similar model but with a physical key is only $7 dollars more and comes with a gateway device included.

Misleading advertising. This does not offer remote unlocking. You can connect to the lock but it's via bluetooth. What this means is that the range will be limited. The bluetooth connection is very poor and I have not been able to maintain a connection with the lock more than 2 feet away.Purchased this for the remote unlocking and I am utterly disappointed.If you are purchasing with the intent of using the remote unlocking feature, DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY.

1st lock I received was damaged. LaView DID replace the lock at no additional charge to me. They also covered shipping. I do like the lock but at times the Bluetooth lock does not work. Meaning if I am away from home I don’t have ability to lock and unlock device which can be frustrating.

It was really simple to remove my old manual lock to replace with this automatic lock. There was no need to drill any additional holes. The set up was completed through the app; I haven't figured out how to directly from the door. The app doesn't show which person unlocked the door but maybe that's because I set everyone up in the app and not on the lock itself.

Easy install, looks good. A little difficult to program but made our way thru it. Worked great daily and then one day just stopped. We replaced batteries and did a reset but still wouldn't work . About 3 days later it beeped and became operational for about 24 hours , then it stopped again. We are currently looking for a replacement because we are over the 1 year warranty.

Ordered it, first one I received was defective, so had to exchange for another, which now, 6 months later, also turns out to be defective and the company refuses to give me my money back. Locks don't work properly and after a while, the know spins but nothing happens. Do not buy!

Okay, now that I have used these locks on all three of my doors I believe I can write a review. They work fantastic! If you want to connect more than one so you can lock them with your phone from anywhere you'll need to buy a gateway. It's relatively low cost but works great! The locks themselves are well made and dependable. They look pretty classy too.
