This is a great desktop scanner and so fast! The only issue I have is that I cannot figure out who to scan multiple pages then save them as separate docs. Cannot imagine it can’t be done but cannot find any resources to say how. If it weren’t for this it would be 5 star!

ScanSmart has several software bugs.(1) when scanning, duplicated pages are created often. For example, scanning 100-page book generates 104 scanned pages (4 are duplicated.) <-- maybe synchonization error among threads (producer-consumer problem)(2) when saving as an searchablePDF, ScanSmart aborts (dies) often. This makes me re-scan again and again....

I like that it saves space and is super-fast. I use it to scan 150 to 250 pages documents at once and it takes me less than 4 minutes.

I can’t praise this scanner enough! Super easy to set up and incredibly easy to use! Performance so far is absolutely amazing! I scan loan documents, a whole package can be scanned in about 2 minutes. I am more than pleased with this purchase and HIGHLY recommend it!

Why didn't I buy this product YEARS AGO. I really like it's ease of use and setup and the good instructions that accompany each step. I have not had time to learn all the fine points but as a beginner I am very pleased with the results. I'd like another one for my second office.

For the first six weeks it was fine, then we got an error message that it needed to be cleaned and we cleaned it and cleaned it and cleaned it and then we called product support. We were on the phone with product support over four hours in one day. They finally agreed to mail me a new one, but only after I gave them a credit card so they could charge it and then they would give me a refund when I mailed back the other one. The box was supposed to be expedited. I was supposed to get it in 32 hours because I really needed it . It did not come till 24 or 48 hours after the 32 hours. I forget how long now it was, but it certainly was a day or two after they said when it came the box on the outside and huge letter says refurbished. I am not happy about that. I bought a brand new one I want a brand new one to replace it not a refurbished one. I will be calling them on Monday and see what they say but it was six weeks old and I paid a lot of money for it so I should not get a refurbished one in place of one

Stand alone scanners are light years better than those integrated into a printer. Perhaps, too much horsepower for the casual user but I scan alot. Have a blessed and safe Thanksgiving. EKB
