This item neither worked when plugged in nor with four AA batteriers (not included with unit.) I contacted Victor Calculators, and within two days, I received a replacement unit, sent via FedEx. I am very pleased with this calculator.

Out of the box, it is a nice machine. It is clean, compact and easy to use. I purchased this printing calculator for monthly small business bookkeeping and discovered on the first use that the machine would stop functioning during use without warning. The screen goes blank and the keys stop functioning. The result is the loss of work progress and having to redo the work. In order to deal with the loss of work I have to "chunk" the numbers in small batches so as not to lose my progress. This was not productive or sustainable. I junked the machine during the first session and purchased a brand name device at a higher price. For the occasional user it might be okay, but for a serious user look at a better, more reliable brand.

The calculator seems to work just fine. I needed a new one for my home office. The only issue isvthe lack of instructions. It tells you all of the features. But not how to perform them. I finally figured it out by trial and error.Really would be nice if some would fix this.
