We didn't know how this would work, but the mikes and speaker are pretty good. The temperature sensor works great and helps with keeping the house cold and hot when need be. The speaker is loud without distortion. As for bass, it can handle a little, but is not a thumping type of output (it is not a Bose type system). Music, speech, are clear and has a great response time. It is simple to set up and kind of fun when messing around with our cats. It is built pretty good, it is not heavy but will not be knocked over if brushed up against. Would recommend purchasing again.

This is very cool! It has very good sound and quite a few options, not to mention easy set up. The sale price I paid for mine help me set up a small “smart place” with a couple of smart plugs for less than 50 bucks.

I'm mostly very happy with these two Echo Dots. I bought these for my elderly mother to help her around the house, keep her safe, and keep her entertained. I set up a group of Dots so that she has speakers throughout the house.Here are my likes and dislikes so far:LIKESSet up is SUPER easy after you install the Alexa app onto your phoneOffers Alexa Emergency Assist which can call for help when needed (subscription, but cheap)Controls on the device are very simpleSound quality and clarity is pretty good for music and voiceAlexa is mostly very quick and responsiveProduct looks cool and is well madeMultiple speakers can work in unisonDISLIKESApp is difficult to navigate (e.g., finding My Devices is not intuitive at all)Multiple speakers don't always act in unison for some reason, even when groupedWhen you say "Alexa?" there is no audible response (a little 'ping' like Google Assistant would be better)Children can easily change the wake-word from "Alexa" to something else. Meaning, wake‑word “locking” does not exist and this is actually quite dangerous for older users who subscribe to Alexa Emergency Assist. I REALLY wish I could lock the wake-word for safety reasons.

This is a really fun Alexa and works great in most rooms. It’s really easy to set up and the voice control and recognition works great. The speaker itself when listening to music isn’t too great or very loud so I would recommend it for a smaller room, but it over all sounds pretty good.

the sound on this one is actually really good for the size, clear vocals and a little more bass than I expected. setup was quick, and it responds fast when I talk to it, even when music’s playing. the design looks cleaner and more modern, like something you actually want on a nightstand or countertop. super handy for timers, music, weather, and just controlling stuff without pulling out your phone. honestly feels like a small upgrade that makes the day run smoother.

This is an awesome product! We linked this to our Echo show 8 and it is AWESOME. I love being able to be hands free while cleaning and tell Alexa to play music or set a timer. I used this too to make an announcement and it worked so well! IT doesn't take up too much space and honestly it looks pretty cool anyways so I don't mind it. It's very simple in it's look with only a few buttons but that was all I needed as I usually just do completely hands free and ask Alexa to turn down the music or things like that. The sound quality is honetsly pretty good. I enjoy that Alexa recognizes my voice and can tailor stuff to me. I bought this when it was on sale and I think it is worth every penny on it's own but for sure a must if you have an echo show 8 and have multiple rooms in the house you want to listen to music or have Alexa to be your assistant!edited to add: this also picks up on you talking VERY well. I was in my living room with the door closed for my bedroom and tried to see if it could hear me when I said Alexa play christmas music and it did! It also can detect a whisper so it is great at figuring out how loud or quiet she needs to be when replying.

I honestly did not think I would use Alexa as much as I do, but now I use it every single day. Setting it up was super easy and only took a few minutes. The app walks you through everything and it was ready to go right away.It hears me really well even when I am not right next to it. I can be across the room or doing something else and it still responds quickly. The sound quality is better than I expected too. Music sounds clear and it gets loud enough for a bedroom or living room without sounding bad.I mostly use Alexa for music, alarms, timers, weather, and reminders. It is really nice being able to ask the time or set a timer without stopping what I am doing. I also like using it to make shopping lists or ask random questions during the day.If you have smart lights or plugs, Alexa makes things even easier. Turning lights on and off with your voice never gets old and it actually saves time. The routines are great too once you set them up. You can have multiple things happen with one command which is really convenient.I was a little worried about privacy at first, but there are settings to mute the microphone and review voice history which made me feel better about using it.Overall, Alexa has been really helpful and worth the money. It makes everyday tasks easier and fits into daily life without being annoying. I would definitely recommend it.
