I ordered this for my 6th grader who loves science. He loves using it to look at the moon and stars. I like that it comes with so many accessories, lenses, and a tripod, so he has everything he needs to get started.The magnification is reasonably strong, as you would expect from a hobby telescope. It looks fantastic and comes in nice graphical packaging, so it has a great presentation as a gift that is sure to excite a young explorer. It comes with a phone adapter so the user can take photos of what they see, and the tripod is easy to use. It is not heavy enough to be substantially sturdy, but you can brace the legs with sand bags or just be careful not to touch it while looking through it.Overall, I think this set is a great value for the money, as long as you have reasonable expectations. It would be perfect for a student or hobbyist getting started.

I actually order this for my husband since he has always wanted one and I read in the reviews that it was a pretty easy set up and that it worked great but in my case it was not an easy assembly. It truly does not explain how to use it and what each accessories or lens does. Good quality and lightweight, definitely looks very pretty. We took it outside on a clear night and its hard to get the focus that we needed. It's great for looking at the moon since it is a bigger area to focus on but to see stars it is hard to focus on a specific one. I was able to see 3 stars where I could only see 1 with the naked eye so once I was able to focus on one I could see the potential.

Although this isn't a professional telescope by any means, it works really well, especially for my 5-year-old grandson. He thinks it looks pretty cool, and he loves that you can use a phone with it (even though he doesn't have his own phone yet).It took a bit to assemble it, as the instructions aren't the best. But most of the pieces are easy to figure out. I did have to resort to the box to see the pictures for a couple of pieces. The phone attachment fits my phone perfectly, with room for a bigger one if need be. I have a Google Pixel 9 Pro. At this price point, it was a great gift idea at a great value!

Tripod is not sturdy enough for the telescope. Flops and wobbles making it difficult to bring image into focus. Thinking this isn't the best to try to look at stars and the moon. We tightened the screws but still wobbly. Putting the phone on it is not recommend with the tripod included. A taller tripod is recommended.

This telescope will forever hold and important place in my life. My son-in-law passed away 2 months ago. My daughter and the kids have been struggling since then. The youngest daughter is 4 years old, and she can't quite understand what's going on. Needless to say it has not been an easy time for the last few months. I decided to get this telescope in hopes that the kids would enjoy it and it would make them happy. I actually told them that whenever they see a shooting star, it's their dad waving from heaven. The kids are varied in age, so they don't do a whole lot of things together. As soon as this came in, all three of them were taking part in setting this up and very excited about using it. It really made my heart smile that something like a telescope could bring a family back together again. My other hope is that the kids can have a newfound love of our solar system and see things that they may never have known existed. They were able to successfully install the app that comes with this, and it was very easy. I am happy to say that the kids got to see him wave many times on the night that they first used this. This is a great telescope that is user friendly for even younger children. The app makes it very simple. The images are very clear, and this is a learning tool to help kids get excited about our solar system. I can't recommend this enough. If I could give it more than five stars, I would.
