Probably closer to 4.5 stars, not my 1st or 2nd telescope. But 1 I am going to use with my high schooler, then send with them to college. Honestly though, setup directions and how to initial site using the small siting scope are terrible, if you know anyone, friend neighbor, etc, ask for a 10 min setup lesson.Huge plus, it has the special tray, etc to use your cell phone to take photos via the actual eye capture to share what you are seeing, that big for a telescope at this price.
